Nancy Isler Cannon, middle GA

Have been trying to push the genealogy of Nancy Isler Cannon, daughter of Miles Cannon, back for some time. I am told that she was the daughter of Nathan & Lishy Isler. Is there a Swiss connection?

I had written down but have unfortunately misplaced the documentation the following ancestors for Nancy Isler (b. 1802):

John Isler Jr. married Mary (Polly) Dulin, son of John Isler Sr. (Gaillard) and ? Becton, son of Frederic Isler (1701-1778)and ? Gaillard (or Gillard), son of Nicholas Isler (1661-1730), from SW Germany or Switzerland and died in New Bern, NC.

Does anyone have any more information concerning the Swiss connection? Another branch of my family (Solomon Gross family) also settled in this area of NC at around the same time in the early 1700s and were also Swiss.

I would be happy to hear from anyone! Thanks!
