Cary, widow of John Ivester/mother of Jacob Ivester

My great-great-grandfather, James F. Eddington was born in Wayne Co. (later Iron Co.) Missouri in 185l to William C. and Cary Eddington.

The 1850 census for Wayne Co. MO (pages 198-199) has 5 people residing in this household:

William C. Eddington, age 22
Cary, age 25, born in SC
Jacob Iverstry, age 8, same birthplace as mother
Elizabeth Iverstry, age 6, born in GA
Cary L., age 3, born in GA.

I believe that "Ivestry" is in fact Ivester and that Cary is the same woman often listed as the wife of John Ivester of North Carolina and the mother of Jacob Ivester, who is usually listed as born in Rutherford Co., NC on March 28, 1839 and dying in Iron Co. MO on Nov. 13, 1910.

Unfortunately, the only information on John's widow/Jacob's mother I have been able to find is her identification as "Cary or Corrie."

Has anyone researching the Ivester line been able to learn anything about her?

Brian Eddington
