Jesse A. Ivester was born about Jan 1831 in Habersham County GA, he died per his gravestone 26 Nov 1876 Habersham County, GA. He is buried at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Habersham County. GA. His gravestone shows his death as age 45 years 10 months.
Jesse died of disease that he contracted in service during the Civil War. He was a 4th Sergeant enlisted 12 May 1862.He was captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi 4 Jul 1863. and was exchanged 6 Sep 1863. He was wounded at Resaca, GA 18 May 1864.
Elizabeth died after 1910 but I have no further details for her.
