I would like to find out if you are talking about Hugh Isbester(Ivester) that was born
in 1755 in the small fishing village of
Stromness in the Orkney Islands in Scotland.
He left Scotland in 1775 sailed on the ship
Marlborough to the "New World". Landed in
Savannah Georgia in Aug. 1775. Married Barbara in N.C. and had 5 children. He had
changed his name to Ivester by then. Please
contact me, I just recieved this info as
of yesterday.
