George Newell Ivester/Anna Rucker moved to Habersham County, Georgia c. 1822. Much of their family went with them but some stayed in North Carolina. In later years, some of the Ivesters moved to South Carolina - particularly Anderson. My own grandparents did the same. My grandmother, Louise Peace, was actually born in Habersham, but grew up in Anderson. My grandfather - although he lived in Habersham - worked in Anderson.
I hope this answers some of your questions. There is an Ivester list just recently formed and I believe one of the members is from your same line. You may want to contact her. I will get her permission to give you her e-dress. Let me know by writing me at Dazyy5@aol.com - directly rather than through the forum.
