I've finally finished transcribing/summarizing the 39 pages from John Ivie's pension application. It includes his two Bounty Land Warrant applications, his pension application, and Elizabeth's widow's pension application.
I've also posted it to my web site. Most of what I've posted is summarized, but a couple of things I transcribed exactly. Like Elizabeth's description of John when he was drafted for the War of 1812 at 18 and a letter from Tabitha trying to help her mother get her widow's pension. John received his pension--$8 per month. Elizabeth died before her application could be approved.
There's a gold mine of information, including the points in the family's migration from Henry Co, VA. I've included the information for ordering a copy from NARA.
