Famous Outlaw - Frank James used at least 87-different aliases over the course of his life-tme. The names of Wm. Louis William/s; James Daniel/l; James Calhoun were but a few of these 87-names. He was not born a JAMES; this was merely another alias.

Ann Ralston was not his 1st wife. She was merely 1 of several wives.

He 1st married in the 1860's and had 3-children by his 1st wife, 2-boy & a girl. He m: his 2nd wife in 1872 but she did not go with him until 1881; their 1st child was born in 1882. They went on to have 16-children that lived for awhile. He married (Indian Wedding) Ann Ralston in 1874. She wasn't with child when he left her in KY in 1874. (He never saw her again, until she showed up in MO with a boy born in 1878; which she claimed was his son to black-mail him for her support. Because she found out and threatened to tell the authorities ----Who he was also known as after he left her in KY in 1874.) Alexander Franklin James, b: 1878 was not Frank James son.

Outlaw Frank James m: Margaret C. in 1875; they had 1-boy and twin girls, b: 1878/79. The youngest twin died not long after birth; descendents of the other twin girl and the boy live today.

Franks 2nd wife went with him in 1881. Their 16-children over the years.

He married another in 1910 but no children. He did not live with her. He went back to his 2nd wife & family.

In 1912, he was sentenced to prison with another name for 17-yrs but got out in 1926. A full 11-yrs after he supposedly died in MO in 1915, for Ann Ralston's benefit. So the family wouldn't have to support her family anymore.

He got a job as a US TERRITRIAL Marshal in 1926-1930; when under this name he appears to die but didn't. Changed his name again and moved to another part of the counry. He lived until 1948 but some of the family told 1947 to appear different.
