I have read that the Ivey/Ivy/Ivie all came from ST Ivo or Ivo the Great. Not sure about that, but DNA pretty well proves that all three surnames have rocked back and forth. However there appears to have been migration from England/Wales/ Ireland with all three names. Also, it appears that James Russell Ivie's that migrated to Utah with Mormons was Ivy at one time, and I know for sure that I have relatives that spell it Ivey. At any rate, when you see one, might as well construe is as same. Travis Ivy
