Sir John Ivory of Wexford.

Deep in the recesses of my family tree, I have a Sir John Ivory of Wexford. He married Anne Talbot, daughter of Sir John Talbot and Barbara Slingsby, and between them they produced a son named John Ivory Talbot. I have (most of) the ancestry of Anne and the descendency of John Ivory Talbot, but nothing on the ancestry of Sir John Ivory.

Now I did find the following possible reference at :
The name [IVORY]however, has been closely identified with Co. Wexford since it came to Ireland in the seventeenth century. This came about through the grants of land to the disbanded army of Cromwell in 1655. Capt. William lvorie, or Ivory, of Ludlow's regiment of horse, settled in Co. Wexford. He is recorded as a leading citizen of New Ross in the "census" of 1659. He was one of the three gentlemen appointed for Co. Wexford to implement the proclamation of November 2, 1678 ordering the disarming of all persons of the "Popish religion" throughout Ireland. His son Sir John was M.P. for Wexford in 1692"

I'm guessing that this may be the same Sir John as the dates fit but I would be really grateful if anyone could furnish me with anything further.
