Don't despair! There's a lot of us!
Again, from memory, the genuine Ivory's originated from Oxfordshire. So, you are in the right area - the imposters came from France. Apart from smelling of garlic, the other way of telling us apart is an omission by the imposters of an element ( I think a pearl ? ) on the family Coat of Arms. I remember my dad's cousin, Len, saying that if you went to one of those places you'll have seen in shopping centres, or on holiday, that draw up the origins of the family surnames, they always got ours wrong! I'll try to find the paperwork ASAP. I reckon there's a very strong possibility that we are related, somehow. Apologies, in advance, for my busy life-style.
