LOOKING FOR ANY RESEARCHERS WHO HAS INFO.,ON MARY ELIZABETH JAMES WHO MARRIED MAJOR WALL IN MECKLENBURG, CO. Virginia.
........Date of Marriage 1-10-1803................
In abt. 1814 Major and Mary move to Lincoln Co.TN. where they live until abt. 1821. They then moved to MAURY,Co. TN.
They both die in Maury County. Major died in 1851.
After the death of his father GRANDISON MOSES WALL, son of MAJOR WALL and his sister GEORGIANN WALL move to Batesville, Ar. where they join other members of the family who had preceded them to Ar.
GRANDISON M. WALL B: 9-18-1921 LINCOLN cO., TN. establishes a ferry across the White River a few miles from Batesville.
A settlement grows around it called WALLS FERRY,RKANSAS.
The Ferry operated for over 50 years.
Major was the son of the Joshua Wall who married Permelia Richardson in Va. in 1817.
Joshua Wall was named after his G-father. His father was Henry Wall.
After the marriage of Joshua ( his 2nd wife ) & Permelia
moved to Lincoln County, Tennessee where he fathers a second family... Theophilis Wall, ( Married Eliz. Short Marshall Co., Tn.) Leroy Wall, Andrew Jackson Wall,
Joshua dies in Lincoln County in abt 1832.
Permelia remarried and moved. ( Maybe a Griffin or Griffith)
Some of the son's ended up in Marshall County, Tennessee
My problem is.... WHO WAS MARY JAME'S FAMILY ??? and
Who was Major Wall's MOTHER ?? Perhaps in Va.or N.C. (Major Born in Va.)
How does Elizabeth Chitwood connect to this family.???
She has been mistakenly listed as the wife of Major Wall
for many years.... But could her family be related to his Mother?
Anyone Researching this line of Wall, James, Chitwood, Richardson your response would be greatly appreciated..
