My husband's grandfather, Raphael Skotnicki , was an immigrant with his family (father Woolf Skotnicki) to London c1873. They settled in the East End of London and Raphael married Clara Jablonski at the Great Synagogue, St James Dukes Place in 1894. Her father was Lewis Jablonski. Raphael and Clara had 3 daughters, the eldest Rana, was my husband's mother ( he thinks !) She was born in 1895.The Skotnickis came from Poland/Russia. The Jablonskis address at the time of Clara's wedding was 54 High Street, Poplar, East London. Are they any connection with you?
Regards Liz Winder.
