your reference to the jackett cornwell connection caught my eye. i have a mary elizabeth parnell, b. september 1862 in boyton, cornwall. in 1884 (probably linn or anderson co., KS) she married a thomas jackett b. march 1857 in england. (the confusion lies with the emigration date; the parnells came to the U.S. sometime between 1882-84, so it's at least possible that they married while still in cornwall).
