Beth,
This is the sketchy information I have from the German Immigrants to America Volumes in our local library: Volume 4 has a John Jackle age 30 male, gardner, arrived on the Prince Albert from London to New York. Arrived March 9, 1853.

Volume 9 has a Johann Jackel, age 32, Male, Shoemaker and Anton Jackel, age 28, Male Shoemaker Destination Chicago, Ship in the Ernest Moritz Arndt (?) form Bramen(?)to New York. Arrived July 10, 1855 Province Hesse Cassel. These correlate more closely with the family history, but is not accurate for my husbands family. Maybe you have already found this information. I need to go back and look again to make sure I have this recorded correctly. Don't know if this helps you or not.
