Michael, I just read your message on Jackley Family Genealogy Forum dated Aug 2, 2003. You mention Jocob Jackle born Dec. 10, 1809 in Wurttemberg, Germany. And, someone else mentioned a brother named Christian.
I have a rather complete pedigree chart of the Hans Jackle descendants that I received from Willy Kuderer, who works in a genealogy library in Schwenningen, Wurttemberg, Germany. On this list is a Jacob Jackle born Dec. 10, 1809 who emigrated and one of his four brothers is Christian born Sept 17, 1807 who also emigrated. They are brothers of my great great grandfather, Johannes Jackle born Sept 27, 1796 who emigrated, and Thomas Jackle born Oct 12, 1811 who emigrated to Indiana. Dave Jackle from Indiana (a relative whom I've just discovered this past month) is descended from Thomas. All were born in Schwenningen, Germany (south west corner of Germany).
I'll be glad to share these six generations with you if you are interested. Hans Jackle was born about 1616. These brothers and their five sisters' parents were Johannes Jackle (Dec 26, 1763-Feb. 19, 1816) and Ursula Speck (Nov 11, 1771 - March 18, 1838).
