Elizabeth,
The origin of Christopher Jacklin is shown in the following from STRUBBY, near Alford, Lincolnshire.
April 20, 1827 [meeting held at house of Thomas Beels]
"agreed to borrow the whole sum of money that will be required to pay the passage and all other expences for Christopher Jacklin and his wife and eight children and Matthew Smith and his wife and six children likewis Richd Harness and his wife going to America the money to be paid again in equal proportions yearly in seven years - or any other time that may be agreed on."
[LAO: Strubby Parish 13/3 Overseers' A/cs 1801-37]

The IGI says Christopher Jacklin married Ann ....
Son Aaron was bapt at Strubby 15 Dec 1822; he married Emma .... [he was then of Blenheim, Kent, Ontario, Canada]; Christopher, son of Aaron and Emma was born 2 Nov 1850 in Ontario.

This departure from Strubby is a footnote in the UK 1831 Census Report!

Hope this helps. If you need to know anything about Strubby let me know.
John
