It looks as though Robert Jacklin made a new life for himself - if this is the correct Robert.

1871 US census
Daytin, Newago Co., Michigan
Jacklin, Robert 38 Farmer born England
Roseanna 27 Ireland
John R. 9 Michigan
Nancy? M 6 Michigan
Claricinda 3 Michigan
Edward B. 1 Michigan.

In Dec 1861 Robert Jacklin purchased 62.48 acres of land at the Ionia Land Office in Michigan. In Sept 1872, he purchased a further 80 acres.

You will find Robert and his family on the 1880 US census at

http://www.familysearch.org/

Robert Jacklin died between 1900 and 1910 and in 1910 Roseanna is living in Dayton with her daughter Fannie Fuller (a widow) and her son Edward Jacklin who is divorced. There is also a 10 year old grandson Murray W. Jacklin.

I will try looking for them on later censuses.

Regards
Pam B.
