Lois,
I know there is a connection between my Jackman family from DeKalb, IL. and your family in Mason, IA.. My dad is Robert A. Jackman (b. 1924 now deceased) and he was married to Frances M. Anschutz of Dorrance Kansas. I have one sister, Nancy Hager of Wichita, KS.. My grandfather is William A. Jackman (b. 1897 now deceased) and he was married to Hazel Wiltze. In addition to my dad, Robert, they had two other children; William D. Jackman of St. Charles, IL. married to Eileen Weinert and Judy Peel of Franklin, IN. married to Tim Peel.
My Great Grandfather was Frank Douglas Jackman who was married to Myrtle Antonette Schwartz. They had three children all boys - William A., Frank and Richard. His father was Richard Charles Jackman who originally came to this country in approximately 1840's from England. He had two wives (not concurrent) of Moriah and Angeleana.
I know there is a Carol Jackman who was married and divorced from a farmer in Iowa. She is a first cousin to my dad. Her dad was one of my Great Grandfather's brothers. I do not know how many siblings he had.
Any information you have about my family would be greatly appreciated.
