Hello,

As far as I can discern my Great-great Grandmother was an Elizabeth Jackman born 1839 Easton, Wilts. I think her parents were Daniel Jackman b.1801 G.Bedwyn and Mychila b.1806 (nee Rosier).

Elizabeth Jackman married a William Prior (b. 1843 Newbury)and lived in Kensington and went on to have two sons (my Gr-Grandfather Frederick William and Alfred).

I would love to know if you have any more information on either the Jackmans or Rosiers?? I understand that Mychila's parents were William Rosier and Sarah Gale. Do you know where the name 'Mychila' would have come from or indeed how it is spelt (I have come across several variations) On her death registry it is simply 'Chilla'.

Anyway, I hope we may be of some help to each other.

Good luck with your research.

Best wishes,

Sarah Prior.
Reading, Berkshire.
