I'm interested in any information about Thomas Jackman born about 1830 in/near Woking Surrey England. No record exists of his christening or birth that I can find in Surrey.
In the 1841 census Thomas was in Sutton aged 11 living with a Jerry & Marcia (Maria?) Jackman and three of their children, Robert (25), Thomas (23) and Mary (18).
In the 1851 census Thomas was in Sutton aged 23 living with George Why
On 19 Jun 1852 Thomas married Emma Simmons at St Peters in (Old) Woking, Surrey. His father is not listed on the cert.
In the 1861 census Thomas was in Send/Ripley aged 31 with his wife Emma and their five daughters.
In the 1871 census Thomas was in Pyrford aged 42 with his wife Emma and two sons and two daughters.
Thomas died 22 Aug 1878 by drowning in the River Wey at Pyrford where he worked as a lock keeper.
