Hi Tom,

Checked the CD and it has 21 pages on Atkinson. Starts with Inventory of Thomas Atkinson late of Concord 1646.

Thomas (1) brother to Thoedore of Boston, came from Bury England, settled in Concord NH, He took the Freemans oath Dec. 7th 1636 and died Nov. 1646. Administration was granted to his widow Susan Nov. 25, 1646. She married 2nd William Aline or Alline the tyler.

thomas and Susans 2nd child born John in 1640 was adopted by his uncle theodore and learned the hatter's trade. He was granted a 1/2 acre of land to stay in Newbury as the town hatter.

I live just down the road from Johns home. It is as it was in 1664. I have had the great pleasure of lunching there with the owner whom is an Atkinson. John's home is one of Newbury's treasures.

The Historical Society of Old Newbury has put the Mary Adams Rolfe paper on cd. Go to their web site to order a copy. Also check out Newbury375 web site.

If you would like me to look on my cd for anything special just let me know. The Jackmans and the Atkinsons have walked the hills of Newbury from the beginning, and still do:) Eva Jackman
