I cannot answer your question about Charles' family, but I can add to your information about Joseph Marcus Jackob's wife. He married Edith Viola Sawyer 29 June 1910 in Shell Lake, WI.
Edith is my wife's great-aunt (i.e., my wife's grandmother's sister).
The information I was given from John Casper Jackob's family gave Joseph Marcus as "Joseph Marcus Jackobs II", which lead me to believe that his father was also Joseph Marcus Jackobs. I see you have him as Marcus Maxwell Jackobs. Do you have any information that can shed a light on this discrepancy?
