First thing I found was Missouri digital Heritage (throught he state of MO) http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ was James Wilford Jackson's death certificate which gives quite a bit of information. James W. Jackson. died October 13, 1942, St. Louis City, MO. Cause Internal hemmorage from gunshot wound, homicide, occurance October 10, 1942. Married to Nellie Jackson. he was born Jan 1, 1891, Grand Tower, IL. Occupation was a steel worker. Parents: Tom Jackson (who was born Jackson Co IL) and Nancy Jackson (b place unknown). They lived at 825a Wright St, St. Louis. Informant was Edward Jackson. It will show his burial place on the death cert that you will be able to pull up. The database is not recent enough to locate "Nellie"s death certificate. 1930 census in St. Louis City, MO for 812 Chambers St. shows: James Jackson (renting home), 38, married at age 28, IL, IL, IL, works in steel mill. Nellie, wife, 27, married at age 17, IL, IL, IL Edward, son, 1 7/12, Missouri, IL, IL 1900 census: East St Louis City, St. Clair, IL: Thomas J. Jackson, born Jan 1852, IL, TN, TN Nancy J., 53, born Feb 1847, Il, TN, TN Alfred, 19, born Sept 1880, IL, Il, IL Harvey, 18, born Oct 1881, IL IL IL Wilford, 13, born Jan 1887, IL, IL, IL More coming - this is not my family by the way, just being helpful.
