Zachariah Jacob's will was written in 1828 in Iredell Co., N.C. when he was close to 75 years old. (N.C. Will Book 2, pg. 77) Therein named were Amos, Tabitha, Mary, and Levi, his children. He and Dorcas Summers may have had other children not named in the will. These children would likely have moved west as did many of the Jacob/Summers/Gaither clans from Iredell Co. N.C. Bear in mind with Zachariah's marriage to Dorcas in 1779, their eldest child would be almost 48 years old in 1828, perhaps have migrated and settled west, and any inheritance in N.C. would therefore be impractical. So no mention in the will.
