Hi, Anton Jacob was born in Kleinwallstadt, Bayern (Bavaria) on 18 Nov 1848. He immigrated to the United States with three of his brothers (Charles, Frank, and John) around 1871 and they travelled to port of Milwaukee or Chicago. Anton Jacob married Sophia Betz in Milwaukee shortly after and they moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI (Sawyer). They had 5 children by the year 2000 named Joseph, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Edward, and Anton. Anton died on 30 April 1926 in Sturgeon Bay. (Their is a close match to this in the SSN death database that is completely wrong on the death date.) I read in his obit that he may have had ten siblings, and i do know that two other brothers of his that immigrated to the United States after Anton-Charles-Frank-John were named Bruno and Theodore. I am relatively sure that Anton's parents both lived and died in Kleinwallstadt, Bayern. They were catholic. The records from the Kleinwallstadt catholic parish have not been filmed as far as I know, so i am feeling that I have hit a brick wall, but it's hard to give up looking down my surname line. I have not competely researched Anton's brothers, but have some information on some of them. For instance Captain Frank Jacob was still alive in 1926 and lived in Chicago.. etc etc. Theodore and Bruno lived in Milwaukee, etc, etc. If any of this sounds familiar to you, I am mainly looking for information on the father and mother of Anton Jacob. I am interested in any information on anyone in this family, and know all the information about Anton and Sophia's family from 1880 to the present. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have also and maybe I have the information. Sincerely, Kurt Jacobs Notify Administrator about this message?
