Hi, there. I'm also searching for information regarding a Jacob Stuckel. I'm compiling photos for a history book about New Mexico's Sandia Mountains, and I have come across a set of three old photos that feature a Jacob Stuckel and his family, on what appears to be a day off in Tijeras Canyon, New Mexico. The photos are of a man (Jacob?) sitting on a pointed rock pile in Tijeras Canyon while two little girls in bonnets play on the rocks beneath him, of the same family in an old wagon, and of the family sitting on some rocks. There appears to be a dwarf in one of the pictures, and a couple of stern-looking matronly types. The sepia-tinted, boudoir style of photographs that they are indicate the pictures are from the 1880s, and possibly from as early as the 1870s. Tijeras Canyon is right by Albuquerque. Did the Jacob Stuckel you're looking for ever live in, or pass through, the Albuquerque area? Oh, and the back of one of the photos says, "“Jacob Stuckel Family, Albuquerque, New Mexico.” I hope, I hope, I hope we're talking about the same person. Contact me anytime with more information, please, and I could even get you digital copies of the pictures, with the owner's consent. Thanks a million, Mike Smith antarcticsuburbs@yahoo.com (505) 281-0151 X-41 Notify Administrator about this message?
