Hi, Barbara - I have no info for you; however, I am also trying to find ANY information on my Jacobis in Chicago. My grandfather Carl Thomas Jacobi was born there to Karl Jacobi & Jennie Johannsen (sp?) in 1894. I believe either Karl or HIS father Karl emigrated from Sweden. I have learned many Swedes settled in Chicago. Are your Jacobis Swedish or German? Do you have any information on Jacobis in the Chicago area at all? I keep coming up dry! Thanks, Susan
