Hi Yvonne,

My g-grandfather Peter Jacobson owned a bank in Madison. His sister, Josphine Jacobson, married J.F. Jacobson (no relation prior to getting married), the owner of J.F. Jacobson Implement Company in Madison. J.F. Jacobson was the Republican party nominee for governor in 1908.

Some of my Jacobson family changed their names to Sorlie, the name of their farm in Norway. One of the Sorlie's, Arthur, became governor of North Dakato in the 1920s.
