Hello, I'm trying to find information on my great grandfather Carl August Jacobson who immigrated from Gothenburg, Sweden in 1879 at the age of 20. He came over with his brother Charles (Charlie) who stayed in New York. My great grandfather spent awhile in Philadelphia, PA; then Kansas, and later Hutto, TX, before settling in Rochelle, TX. He was very musically talented. I recall names of only two of my grandfather's (Victor Jacobson) cousins that he visited when I was a little girl: Elmer Polson from McPherson, KS, and a "Julia" from near Elgin, TX. My mother, Marjorie (Jacobson) Lax, corresponded with a girl cousin who apparently was a descendant of "Uncle Charlie" from New York when she was growing up. It would be wonderful to find any descendants in New York and Kansas, or wherever else in the U.S., and in Sweden. Thanks!
