My great grandfather, Alcide Cachelin, and his wife, Mary Reichenbach, married about 1868-1874 in Neuchatel, Switzerland, and travelled from their home in Neuchatelvia Ohio to Virginia, settling early on in Pittsylvannia County, Virginia. Their youngest child and my grandmother, Mina (Minnie) Cachelin, who was born in Pittsylania County, married Richard Thomas Eggleston, of Norfolk, Virginia, prior to 1908, and it appears that most of the children of Alcide Cachelin and Mary Reichenbach settled into the Norfolk area. Mary Reichenbach's father was "Fritz",
and among his daughters, two married Jacot (Augustin and Jules), and others married Jules Calame, Alcide Cachelin, Condaus, Guimpart, Bingeurell and Ritter. Many, if not most, of these descendants came to America by 1900.

Mina (Minnie) Cachelin married (1st) Eggleston, who died in 1926, then (2) married a cousin, Louis A. Jacot, who lived in Ohio. Minnie thereafter lived in Ohio and died in Summit County, Ohio, on December 3, 1936.

Can anyone steer me to the ancestry of either the Cachelin, Reichenbach, or Jacot line. I remember that in the 1960's, my mother inherited a small sum from a great aunt who died without a will in Neuchatel, and my mother had some correspondence with Swiss probate authorities or estate administrators.
