My great grandfather August, according to census, was born 1845 France, emg. 1852. He married Margaret Permento (sp various ways per census) who was a dau of Antonio (born Madeira) and Mary. They had several children, mostly born in Brooklyn, NY but abt 1885 built a house on Somerset Street in North Plainfield, NJ. and for many years August was a chef in Plainfield. Of their children only two ever married; Joseph and Arthur F. Jacot.
If anyone connects to this line of Jacots, would appreciate exchanging bits and pieces.
