Hi Emily. I trust you got all the scans I sent you. Hopefully they were some info you did not have before. I am betting that Betty had sent you most of this stuff, though.
Regarding graves of the Jacobs/Jacoups.... I saw a number of them at the Price cemetary in Scottsboro. Know where that is? I know my great grandmother, Lizzie Jacobs is burined there.
The name... My grandmother, Lena, always spelled the name Jacoups. However, the marriage certificate for Lena's mother(Lizzie) shows Lizzie Jacobs. I'm not sure when it was Jacoups and when it was Jacobs, actually. It's confusing for sure.
My mom seems to have some recollection of her great aunt Charlsie(sp). I talked to her the other day. She couldn't remember much, though. My great aunt Vanda Williams has a good memory of her aunt Charlsie. My great aunt Vanda is still alive. She lives in Scottsboro and is the last one left of her sisters.
I have plans to call Vanda and just pick through her brains a bit for some info. I wish I could go down to Alabama and see her. I don't think she will be around all that much longer. She was the baby of her family.
