The name General or Jenrel
I have a theory- while visiting Vanda the other day, I asked her where Coffey Cemetery got it's name. She said a man named General Coffey once owned a great deal of land in the area (including where cemetery is. I asked her if he was well liked and respected and she said "yes". Mine and Betty's Great-grandfather(James J. "Can" Jacobs, John's brother)) lived in Jackson Co. also before he moved to Sand Mountain. I think maybe James and John both had great respect for this man and each one of them may have named a son after him. What do ya'll think?
