Hi Denise,
Please can you give me any details you may have on:The children of Charles Leonard Jaggers & Agnes Wright? Where did Agnes come from? And anything you have on their granchildren, and yourself.
My line is: John Jaggers = Mary Leonard
Son George Herbert Jaggers (b.1853)= Martha Haigh(b.1860, m. 26.12.1878, d.18.6.1902)
Their son (though there are more I need to find out about!)
Victor Charles Jaggers (b.1884-1973) married Frances Prudence (b. 1885 in Ireland)
They begat my mother Miriam Therese Jaggers (b. 26.12.1920, m. Geoffrey Watson 1943 Mombassa, Kenya). My mom also has two sisters, Peggy and Bunty.
After the 2nd World War my dad finished in the Royal Navy, and the both settled in Birmingham England, where my two brothers & I grew up. Unfortunately my dad died in 2001 (his funeral was September 11), and after struggling to come to terms with her loss, my mum decided to go back to Australia, and she is very happily settled in a home in Manly. My mum was the horsewoman of the family, and I remember her telling us many stories about life in the outback. At the age of 84 she is filling her hours with enjoying the gardens again and writing an account of her life!
George & Martha also had a son, Ambrose Campbell, born I think in 1898, but he was killed in action in 1918 in France. I have a little information on him, and a picture of him with his father and brother Victor, taken approx. 1904. I shall post it on this forum.
Well that's all for now, hope to hear from you soon.
