Hi Ann - I think we may be talking the same Henry although I have no details of my Henry's marriage or descendents - but the 1860 Henry that I am looking at was christened Henry Charles and I see the 1891 census has a Henry C Jakeman with a wife called Harriet. According to my records, he was a saddler - so the car trade would be an obvious next step
One of his brothers was called "Albert Hardwick Jakeman" which sounds like he was named for someone. Does your grandfather have "Hardwick" as a second name? I've attempted to email you as that would be the best way to pass over the data that I have
