Dear Helene, My husband David is the great-nephew of Alfred C.
David's grandfather Ernest Frederick born 1894 was six years older. The family of 4 boys (two died in ww1)and 5 girls were born and lived in Dulwich SE22.
We have an old group photograph showing Alfred & Dorothy taken in about 1924 as it includes David's father Ernest, his parents and grandmother Ada.
He remembers the couple in about 1950 when Alfred worked in the bakery on the corner of Darrel Rd/Upland Rd, they lived in Upland Rd in a flat above another shop. They were still there in 1958, although he cannot recall a family, it's not impossible as they were by then in their late 50's. Hope this is of help.
Best Wishes from us Both
