Will post what little info I have on James Jakeway & Catherine Wessels family from NYS to Kent County, MI.- I see there are some descendents/researchers who have been looking for/recording info for this family already.
I am not a descendent but also recording info for families connected to my extended (!) Keech/Keach families in Canada & U.S.
Ellen Jakeway, daughter of James and Catherine Jakeway married Peter Keech who was born in Stockbridge, Madison, County, NYS- Peter and Ellen in Kent County, MI. Would like to find their descendents- have recorded 2 daughters, Emma and Ida Keech born in 1870's. There may be other children, these 2 are the only ones I have recorded.
One of Peter's brothers was Stanley Keech who married Mary Polly Perkins. (I have them living in Genesee, Potter County, PA.)
Another brother William Henry Keech was married to Sarah Carver, they lived in Alton/Vergennes/Grattan, Kent Co., MI. I have a Keech cousin who is a desc. of Wm. Henry & Sarah working on that family, includes Peter Keech & his wife Ellen's Jakeways.
There is now a Jakeway forum @ Genforum, will also post there.
Have seen names Perkins and Case associated with Jakeway family, I am interested in knowing the connections as we have Case-Keech (Matilda Case to Nathan Keech) and Perkins-Keech marriages in NYS. (Mary Polly Perkins married to Stanley Keech).
