Hello Carol!!
My name is Eric Volante and I am married with 2 small daughters in Virginia, and I am sorry to say I don't quite yet know anything of Sophie Jalbert, but I do definitely know that I am related to you from some of the other information that you submitted! My ancestors are also derived from Jean & Perrine Pellet Gerbert's line! By the way, my father's mother is a Jalbert and was my grandmother from Worcester, Mass. Anyway, Perrine Pellet married Jean Jalbert-Gerbert in 1622 in Saint Pieere, Bretagne, France. Jean was born approximately 1597 and died before 1697. Perrine was born approximately 1600 and died before 1702. They had a son named Mathurin Jalbert-(dit LaFontaine) who was born in 1631 in Haute Bretagne, France and died December 19, 1687 in Sainte-Famille d"Orleans, Quebec, Canada. He was married twice-I have info on his 2 wives and tons of other information that I can send to you if you could possibly E-mail me your home mailing address-as this is all too much to type and E-mail. I hope to hear from you soon! My E-mail address is:
Well, talk to you later!

Very Sincerely,
Eric Volante
