George Thomas JAMAR (b. 1845, AL) was known as "Tom". He was the son of Richard A. JAMAR, born ~1814 in Virginia and Catherine MAHONE. Richard's parents were Richard JAMAR and Elizabeth ADAMS, both born in Virginia. The JAMARs came to Madison County, Alabama, ~1818.

I am a descendant of Tom's aunt, Mary C. JAMAR, and Thomas J. OWEN. Tom also had two uncles, Larkin JAMAR and Thomas JAMAR. It is believed that Elizabeth ADAMS' father was Thomas ADAMS.

There is a document on the web at

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gbonner/history/peck.html

which gives an account of Bettie ROBINSON's ancestors.
