I would be intereste in knowing whether anyone on this forum us bidding on this book.I have placed a bid, but I see no reason to engage in a bidding war with anyone.I pledge that if my bid is accepted and I aquire the book, the genealogical information will be made to anyone who wants it, at no cost over the internet and only postage and handling for others. In addition, if it proves to be information on the Franklin County Janneys, I will try to find a permanent library home for it so that it can be enjoyed by all.
I am more concerned that other bidders may be collectors of old bibles, and that if is purchased by such a person, the data may be lost to us.I cannot guarantee to outbid such a possible collector.
