No such surname as "MARIYA" in Japan.

"MORIYA", yes.

Moriya is also a city in Ibaraki prefecture.

Note the kanji for MORIYA is the first two characters right below the bold words "Moriya City" in English at the top of the page. The last kanji is not part of the name "Moriya". It means "city". (Moriya-shi)
