Hello
I read about Jara name in magazine in Israel in "masa ajer" no 118 (July 2001), wrote by Zvi Maron. They said that all these people with name was people (most of them jews) that abjection from Spain before 500 years. They change there religion by corecion but with this Flipe 2nd wanted to make Spain "clean" so they run away to others country, many of them to Chile, Peru and Mexico. most of them today cristians. Jara came from Hebrew the word Yaara or Yara that wrote Jara it's mean forest and this name they got because they run away to the forests. By the way in Isrel have many people with this name that call them Yaari. Part of them came from South America and there name is Jara. Today Jara this bad word in Hebrew (if you read this in Spanish) and they change their name. Until today have forest in Spain that call La Jara and this forest you can find in south of the Talavera de la Reina or in north to Cuenca. All my knowledge this because this magazine.
Bye
