Sorry I'm so long in responding.Life got busy, and I wasn't doing much on genealogy for several years.
According to my records, my Carl George (1871-1942) did not have a son named Benhardt Herman (although he did have a brother named Herman).It looks like the only 2 children he had that grew to adulthood were Arthur and Freddie.My Carl was married to Johanna Thormaehlen and they lived in Peoria, IL after their marriage.He was a painter/interior decorator.
I would be interested to see your GED file, as I wouldn't be surprised if our families were related a bit further back.
