Jacocks can be hard to find. I couldn't help but smile a little at your ordeal. I have spent many an our driving around those back country roads myself. Here are my best directions. From Virginia take I-64 to the Route 219, Lewisberg, W.Va. exit. Take Route 219 North toward Marlinton, W.Va.. Jacocks is about an hours drive north off 219. When you leave Greenbrier Co. and enter Pocahontas Co. start looking for a road off 219 to your left. If you pass the Droop Mountain State Park, you have gone to far. Look for a sign directing you toward Lobellia. You will come to forks in the road. Lobellia one way, Jacocks the other.
I'll be at the Droop Mtn State Park for the Walton family reunion in August. Will try and get you better directions and give them to you later. My gggg grandmother was Jane Kellison who was the daughter of Daniel Kellison and Susanna Jaycocks.
Would be very happy to have your Jaycocks data, thanks.
