Rev. Steward,

Thanks so much for your very interesting and informative posting.

I have, I find, conflicting evidence about Catherine La Forge. I have her married to William O. Jaycox, for whom I have no parents and I have her married too William C. Jaycocks, the son of Francis and Bettsy Olivet, son of James and Deborah Purdy.

I always thought that William C. must be correct, as the area and dates were correct. Perhaps my middle initial "C" is simply wrong. Do you know the parents of William C. Jaycox? That would certainly be a big help.

I have just written a long letter to the Putnam County Historian, who says they have consideravble information on this family, and has promised to share this information with me. I should be hearing before too long, and I will post anything new and interesting on Jaycock-L and here as well.

Again, my thanks for getting in contact. I'd love to share and compare Jaycocks/Jaycox information with you!

Sharilyn Whitaker
