Hi Sharilyn,

Great information! Thanks much for posting it. If you want to send me an Email with an attached file with your notes please feel free to do so at or to

I had been thinking that perhaps Nannie Jaycocks and Juliette were the same person but certainly it is possible that Juliette would show up in 1870 Census images and possibly a 1860 images depending on her actual age and the time of her birth. The
age reported in the Census can be off a year or two. She could have been married prior to 1880 or working and living in the home of
someone else. I have noticed in the Census images that a good number of families are listed with occasional additional names of non
family members who were working and boarding at their home.

Will be very interested in what you hear back from the Putnam Historical Society folks.

Regards and Thanks!

Rev. Roy A. Steward

P.S. I have an old Photograph that I think is a picture of a Jaycox family gathering. My mother who is 80 didn't remember who the folks in the photo were but my suspicion is that Seward Jaycox and Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Jaycox or their parents were in the picture.
I sure wish that they had inscribed the names on the back of some of these early Photo's.
in the photo were.
