Hi Janice,I'm afraid I can't tell you very much about James Stephenson other than he was born in Yorkshire,England sept. 18, 1829. Parents names unknown. Moved to Canada at a young age. His mother died while he was very young and his father remarried. Lived in Wheaton,Illinois, later moved to Waverly, Iowa, then to Geneva, Nebraska where he died. He married Malvina Lorinda Jayne July 23 1854. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Jayne and Lois Millard. The Jayne and Millard families are pretty easy to trace. James and Malivina were my great grandparents. If you find any more info I would be very interested. thanks.
