Hi Alan
As you can see I am also a Jayne, I was born in Hafodyrynys in 1936, regretfully I do not know a Terence Jayne, although I went to Abertillery many Times including the Tech
My Father was one of 7 brothers,John,(jack) William,James(dad),Harold Lancel Godfrey and Roderick. Rod Died a few years ago aged 95 and interestingly his wife was a Violet
I understand that there were 2 families of Jaynes in this area my grandfather was Thomas Hopkin Jayne and his brother was John who was named after his father
If any of this is interesting let me know and perhaps I can supply some more Info
