Franklin Jayne was my uncle. I am the youngest son of his brother John who was born on June 13, 1934 in Cedar Rapids Iowa to Arnold Jayne and Josephine (Sampica) I was told that Arnold, My grandfather died before my Father was born. Josephine moved to Milwaukee shortly after her husband Arnold died.
My dad John (Jack) passed away on Feb. 4, 1994 when I was 23. My mother is still alive and kicking in central Wi.
My father was in the Navy during the Korean war and was a member of the UDT (Underwater Demolition Teams) They are now known as Navy Seals.
He has 4 kids from his 1st marriage to Joan Champman who, died in 2001 or 2000. I was reunited with my sisters at the funeral of my cousin Patrick Jayne in July of 2001 after my sister Marlene (Chapman) Jayne found Pat in the phone book and became friends with him. She now uses her proper maiden name, Jayne.
She was curious about the family she was kept from by her mother and began to look for us after her mother died.
My dad's children from his short lived marriage to joan are: Gary, Kevin, Marlene and Renee. Kevin was killed by a drunk driver in his early twenties, when I was about 10, I never got to see him while he was alive.
My Father, John (Jack) Married my mom Marion (Holak) in 1964 and adopted her 2 daughters from her 1st marriage.
They moved from Milwaukee to Antigo in the Late 60's and then settled in So. central Wi. in 1973. He Became a Prison guard in 1976 and retired in January of 1994 1 month before his sudden passing. I hope this adds some info the the Family tree. P.S. HI Nikki
