What I can tell you is that much of the extremely early Jayne data comes from the letters you mention..except only a minor problem...most if it's isn't true.
The info regarding Oxford in England has been disproved by research there.
I'd love to see the letters you have to know what other data he may have stretched the truth with...either way,Benaiah Gustin Jayne can go on record for misleading researcher for many decades.
